Loch Ness, Scotland
One of the most popular myths you can find in Scotland, is the mythical creature that is called “Loch Ness Monster” or in other words, also known as “Nessie”. It was said that in the past, there were sightings of the monster over the Loch Ness river, a large deep freshwater in the Scottish Highlands that stretches about 37 kilometres southwest of Inverness city.
Interesting isn’t it? Well, it was worth a day visit and you will also find the popular Urquhart Castle that sits just next to the Loch Ness.
VISITING THE URQUHART CASTLE & LOCH NESS MONSTER RIVER!
It is worthwhile to pay a visit to the Urquhart Castle, located just next to the Loch Ness river. I was all curious about the mythical Nessie monster and I was seeking if I had the chance to see one (will be scary if I did). However, it was just an eye-opening experience, touching the incredible clear waters of the Loch Ness.
Also, Urquhart Castle played a role on many occasion and was partially destroyed on 1692. You may refer to Urquhart Castle Website – Overview for more information on its histories, operating hours, and admission fares. During my time, it was about GBP9 per pax (subject to changes).
After a long day, you may then head back to the centre and grab yourself some shots of awesome Scottish whiskey!
